So I saw an eyepatch on the ground when i was walking home today. It was disgustingly intriguing. Don't worry, I didn't pick it up...but I won't lie, a part of me wanted to put it on and pose as a pirate.

and shannon: good on ya for not picking up the eye patch. I just thought of the book "Angela's Ashes" where Frankie always has a disgusting eye infection with puss oozing out of it. You never know what they eye was like that used to be under that patch.

Hows the job working out chicka? So I went to EA Games yesterday to drop off my resume. Wow. That is the most unreal gigantour studio ever.
For example, I came across an outdoor, glass enclosed, white sand beach volleyball court. yeah.. such craziness. I think Mainframe was the size of reception.

I got a guy to get me into the place but about 10 minutes later me and a friend were escorted out.

and about 7th street... there was a guy standing on a bus bench with a water gun today shooting people with what everyone hopes was water (and not "marking his territory"). It was pretty hilarious he was playing fort or something with that bench.. held it pretty well.
hehe... uh oh :) Yeah its defintitely in lockdown mode - keycard entry at nearly every door. Although its the same for most (if not all) studios here, including mainframe - a bit of a necessity to prevent spies and leaks (esp when you work on things 2 years in advance). Was your friend working at EA?
Also.. is it still winter shan? i do not think so. what happened to the tropical oasis?
yea few years ago, we met in van. at a party and he showed us around the city while we were there. i dont know him personally. did drive around in a really nice white mercedes kompressor though :O
and yea what up with the snow shannon, dont tell me your too busy cause im the one pulling 14/15 hours work a day.. ($$$).

and what's the pay like... WestCan screws grads over, i think thats what they do.. hire grads for cheap to use them
oh yea.. the docutech bit, we're printing all the race booklets for stampede park. tons.. of books takes me 6-7 hours to do. 20lb colored cover. print the covers first then print the "inside pages" after using the covers on a different tray.. jams like a mofo on "bad days"
only color equipment use the rip stations. docutechs has its own rip. WestCan's got.. 4. and 2 are down 90% of the time.
